Atiku Holds Brief Meeting With Buhari, Says When APC Zoning To Be Resolved
Former Vice President said that discussions held during the brief meeting were private.
Meanwhile, he told journalists that the All Progressives Congress had the ability to thrash out matters surrounding the zoning of offices particularly at the National Assembly.
When answered why he met with Buhari, Atiku said: “We just discussed private matters,” continuing that it was too early to talk about resolving the case of zoning.
“That is too early. This is something the leadership and the party is handling. I believe it will be resolved before the House is reconvened (in June),” Atiku said.
He also expressed assurance that the emergence of Buhari and the APC would bring about the change that Nigerian had been deserving.
Meanwhile, former Vice President, advised Nigerians to give the incoming government time to deal with the issues it was going to oppose.
Atiku said: “Really, changes will come. The President-elect has assured the people that, but it will not just come overnight; it has to be gradual. Definitely, there will be positive change in that matter but it will be gradual.”
In a comment by his media office, Atiku said he was rejoicing at the reports of the rescue of nearly 300 girls and women from the Sambisa Forest by Nigerian army.
Former Vice Pressident said it was unsatisfactory that hundreds of women, girls and boys had been kidnapped by the terror group, Boko Haram, over the last couple of months.
It should be also noted that Buhari has at last unveiled the list of his transition committee today, April 29.
